Argentina 2-3 England

Michael Owen headed in two late goals Saturday, rallying England to a 3-2 exhibition victory over Argentina in injury time.

Owen tied it 2-2 in the 86th minute and then jumped to meet Joe Cole’s cross for the winner in the second minute of injury time. It was his third goal in three games against Argentina.

Hernan Crespo opened the scoring for Argentina in the first half and Wayne Rooney tied it for England. Walter Samuel put the Argentines up 2-1 in the 54th minute before Owen took command.

Riquelme, who forced goalkeeper Paul Robinson into an acrobatic fifth-minute push over the top, was controlling midfield and regularly brought Crespo and Carlos Tevez into play.
